Oxford

This Sunday I took the train from London to Oxford to meet up with 2 fellow Caltech alumni - Mason, who is a Fellow and Tutor in Applied Mathematics at Somerville College, and Tom, who is Lecturer in Astronomy at the University of Southampton.

This was my first time to Oxford, and Mason was gracious enough to show me around (Tom had been before). It was also here that I had my best meal in the UK - some great sausages and mash. Below are some photos of the beautiful colleges and surrounding areas.

The Saxon tower of St Michael at the Northgate. Dating from 1040, it is Oxford's oldest building.Views from Saxon tower.

There are these canals around Oxford. Some people live in boats along the canals.
